Cassandra Dawes
Cassandra is the Director of Events for Project Healthy Minds, bringing over twenty years of experience in non-profit development and special event management. She began her career at the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation and Lupus Research Institute, where she held various development and fundraising roles. After seven years, she transitioned from her position as Associate Director of Development to focus on her passion for non-profit event management and production at amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.
During her nearly fifteen-year tenure at amfAR, Cassandra spent the last seven years as the Director of the department, leading the organization’s global fundraising and event programs. After departing amfAR in the summer of 2022, she engaged in freelance event work before joining Project Healthy Minds to spearhead and develop their special events program.
Cassandra holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Science and History from Union College.
